purpura: Northern Region War Camp

So this is going to be interesting. I am going to be taking my OSO (to put it in poly-ese) and his 3 children to Northern Region War Camp this July 4th.

Interesting. Now the people I camp with know the what about our relationship and most casual aquaitneces know I have non-scadian housemates with children.

I am hoping this is going to be a lot of fun. Because more than the poly aspect, I am taking 3 kids who have never been camping and 2 out of 3 haven't been to an event before. Their ages are 10, 6 and almost 8. Plus my toddler.

I don't have any real questions in regards to all of this, but I thought it would interest this community. So discuss away!

Any any recommendations for taking a bunch of kids camping (whom never have before) are welcome!

Lots of preparation!

Ask folks you know. Ask kids who have been camping many times. Ask parents and/or group leaders who have experience in taking kids camping. Get them to tell you about stuff you might forget... stuff they probably *did* forget a time or two, and learned their lesson.
